How to Maintain a 2003 Audi TT
1. Open your hood and remove the air filter. Hold it up to the light. You should be able to see through the filter. If you cannot, this means its dirty and needs to be replaced. The purpose of the air filter is to filter out any debris that enters the air system. This prevents damage to your engine. Dirty air filters can cause clogs in your hoses and your Audi will run poorly with inadequate air flow.
2. Check your brakes during tire rotations and changes. Brakes should be replaced when they are about 75 to 80 percent worn. Any more, and they can cause damage and scoring into your rotors, which will require rotor replacement as well. How often you need to replace your brakes depends on how much driving you do. More driving and frequent stopping wears the pads out faster.
3. Change the oil in your Audi TT every 3,000 miles or at least every three months to keep the oil fresh. The oil lubricates the moving parts of your engine and keeps it clean. The oil filter will need to be changed with each oil change. This filters out dirt and debris that can cause engine damage and sludge. Check the oil level in your Audi every month to ensure there are no oil leaks and that your oil is at the correct level.
4. Check the air pressure in your tires often. Especially between seasons when the temperatures fluctuate. This can cause a decrease in pressure, which causes pull on the tires. This can wear out the tread on your tires faster. Make sure tires are always fully inflated. Replace the tires once the tread is fairly worn.
5. Get a tune up every couple years. This involves replacing all the spark plugs, hoses, and belts even if they do not look worn. Also, have the coolant flushed and replaced with new fluid. This will head of any possible mechanical problems before they have a chance to start. This prevents any air leakage that you may not know about with old hoses or squeaky belts. It helps keep the engine running smooth.
6. Clean your Audis interior by vacuuming the seats and floors regularly. This will pick up any dirt or debris you may carry in on your shoes. It will keep it from getting ground into the fabric and causing stains. Wash the outside of your car often and apply a coat of wax a couple times a year. This will prevent fading of the paint.

How to Install a Manual Boost Controller on a Passat
1. Attach one side of the manual boost controller to the vacuum hose coming off the wastegate actuator (located on the back of the turbocharger unit).
2. Connect the other side to the boost source outlet nipple.
3. Secure the controller with a heavy duty twist tie (included in the kit) away from the exhaust manifold.
4. Do a third gear pull by flooring the throttle when rpm is at approximately 2000 until redline on a closed stretch of road or track. This will set a baseline and determine the vehicles exact factory boost setting.
5. Adjust the turbo boost setting on the MBC by slowly turning the knob in the desired direction. (typically clockwise will increase boost pressure and counter-clockwise will retard boost)
6. Complete several full-throttle passes to attain a specific boost setting.
How to Make BMW Games
BMW Flash Cards
1.
Visit your local car dealership for vehicle information.
Gather information about BMWs from a local BMW dealership, magazine advertisements or BMW.com.
2.
Cut photos from colorful brochures for fun-looking flash cards.
Cut out photos of BMW models, accessories and colors you want to learn about or would like to be able to identify. Cut out the text that matches the photos and keep it with the correct photos.
3. Attach each photo to one side of an index card with glue. On the other side of the same index card, attach the text that matches the photos.
4.
Memorize the information with flash cards.
Gather all the index cards into a pile. Look at the picture on the first card and read the corresponding text on the back of the card. Try to commit the information to memory.
5. Move through the whole pile of cards, memorizing BMW facts.
6. Quiz yourself by looking at the picture side of the card and reciting the facts. Check your answer by looking at the other side of the card.
BMW Memory Game
7.
Match two photos of BMW headlights.
Cut out at least 20 different photos of BMWs and accessories from brochures at a local BMW dealership or print out pictures from BMW.com. Be sure to cut out two identical copies of each photo for a total of 40 photos.
8.
Glue photos to cards or print directly onto the cards.
Glue each photo to individual index cards and gather the cards into a pile once dry.
9.
Play memory with your friends.
Lay the cards face down in front of you and a friend in four rows of five cards.
10. Take turns flipping over pairs of cards and making matches. If you make a match, keep the match and take another turn. If you do not make a match, turn the cards back over to the face down position.
11. Win the game by finishing with the most pairs once all cards have been collected.
How to Tune a 2002 Audi A4
1. Lower the suspension to improve the A4s handling and appearance. Like most cars, in original form the A4 has a relatively high ride height. Lowering the suspension with stiffer, lower springs from a company such as Eibach and with performance shocks will greatly improve the A4s handling and make it feel much lighter and more nimble. You can also install coilovers, which combine the shock and spring in one adjustable unit, though this is the more expensive option.
2. Upgrade the wheels and tires. With the exception of the higher-end S models in the Audi lineup, most Audi models come with relatively plain looking wheels. With its restrained lines and simple styling, the A4 benefits greatly from a larger, more aggressive wheel design. You can either install OEM-style (original equipment manufacturer) wheels from one of the S models or you can aftermarket. A company such as the Tire Rack has a huge selection of wheels that will fit the A4, including the ever-popular BBS. Mount wider, lower-profile tires on those new wheels for a big improvement in handling.
3. Tune the engine for more power. Whether you have a V6 or a 1.8T turbocharged A4, more power can be had from the engine. The 1.8T can produce considerably more power than it does in stock form. Start with an exhaust system and intake, which will make your Audi sound better and make more power. From there, install a modified ECU (engine control unit), which will retune how much air, fuel and spark the motor gets. Turbocharged A4s in particular will benefit from the latter modification. After that, you can install larger turbos, intercoolers, larger fuel injectors and other upgrades to get big power from the motor.
4. Improve the stopping power. With more power and handling comes the need for increases deceleration. Start here by installing more performance-oriented pads and cross-drilled rotors. A set of braided steel brake lines will provide a firmer pedal feel. If you want to get more extreme, install a big brake kit from a company such as Brembo. While not cheap, doing so will improve stopping distances by replacing the stock components with larger calipers and larger diameter rotors.
5. Upgrade the interior. Start with a set of alloy pedals for more grip and a heavier alloy shift knob. If you want seats that will hold you in place better during fast cornering, replace the stock seats with a pair of race buckets from Recaro. Not only do these look great, but they will also reduce the weight of your car.
6. Modify the exterior. Even though it doesnt take much to improve the A4s aesthetics, a more aggressive front air dam and smoked turn signals and taillights go a long way to enhance the exterior.

How to Remodel a Car Interior
Interior Upgrades
1. Replace your dashboard kit. Many after-market manufacturers sell their dashboards with adhesive backs for easy installation. Others have hook and loop assemblies. Dashboards are available in various trims including vinyl, carpet, velour, leather, suede, aluminum, carbon fiber and wood. Consumer desires vary according to appearance preferences but conscientious buyers are encouraged to consider other factors in choosing a new dashboard. Some dashboards are made to reduce glare reflected from the windshield, resist solar damage, and reduce windshield glaze.
2. Reupholster your car seats or buy new seat covers. Stitchcraft World Custom Famous Interiors recommends bright, multi-tone seats covers to lend a sporty, racing style to your car. The interjection of a bright color against a muted tone is eye-catching. Stitchcraft World Custom Famous Interiors features a red Audi that received this make-over. To create a uniform decorative look, door panels were reupholstered in fabric equivalent in material and color to accents in the seats.
3. Pull up your worn carpet. Replace your cars carpet with a complementary color and backing of choice. New carpet is essential to full remodeling and gives a new-car smell to your interior. Useful accessories are available for purchase with custom carpets. These include door and kick panel inserts that are protective against the daily assault of passengers. Sound deadening kits are available as well. To protect your new carpet, overlay it with a cut-to-size plastic trim.
4. Upgrade all of the functional components of your cars interior. Decide on a theme and match the colors and fabrics. Replace the transmission gear shift knob, the steering wheel, the brake and acceleration pedals, console arm rests, hand brakes and dome lights. Buying certain parts made with more durable materials like foot pedals can add to longevity. Parts like the console arm rest may be purchased with cup holders increasing their functionality.
5. Purchase and install new audio system components. If your car can only play music on compact discs, you may consider a head unit that can play DVD, MP3 and MP4 audio files. Amplifiers add power to sound and if you want to add a one, your head unit must have outputs to accomodate it. Depending on how you play your music, you may be satisfied with your stock speakers. If a little extra bass is all you need, buy a subwoofer.

How Do I Compare 1991 Mercedes Benz 300 and 350 Models
1. Go to the Edmunds website to start your specification comparisons. Choose Used Cars from the home page and input the correct year, make and model. Choose the 350 series level you want to compare.
2. Choose the level of the 300 class that you want to compare to the 350 series--three different engine options are available. The most similar levels are the 350SE and 300SL because of similarly sized engine. Both are also rear-wheel drive.
3. Change back and forth between 350-class sedans during your comparisons. Click Specs from the left menu to view any model dimensions. Compare exterior and interior dimensions for both vehicles to determine which has more room or which weighs more.
4. Compare horsepower and torque for both classes. One has more torque than the other but less horsepower--it may prove worthwhile to drive both vehicles to compare acceleration.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the page to compare fuel economy. The 350-class is a turbodiesel, so better gas mileage is not unusual. Not even the four-cylinder 300-class can achieve the same gas mileage as the turbodiesel 350-class.
6. Click Available Features from the left menu to compare standard and optional features. Compare engines, transmissions, luxury and standard safety features.
7. Click on Resale values to view dealer retail, trade-in and private-sale values to see which class retains its value better.
8. Test-drive both vehicles, if possible. Even though you are able to compare specifications online, a test drive helps to complete your comparisons so you can better assess each vehicle.
How to Open a Key Fob on an Audi
1. Extend the key from the plastic key fob by pressing the chrome button on the corner of the fob.
